About

WPF Disciples…the name says it all. We are bunch of WPF addicts that cannot get enough of the technology. We joined forces to create a group that enables us to share WPF knowledge.

In this blog you will find some of the most interesting topics that the WPF Disciples chat about. This blog is a way for you to get the best of our group discussions without having to be in the group.

What is WPF? Yes, a silly question. By not including a single reference to the full term, it could be anything! Consider following some basic technical writing principles for the un-informed out there…

Please correct this:
…multiple inheritance (and thank god for that!), the divergence was necessary.

I’m a self-taught .net developer, I have developed a couple of WPF applications commercially following best practices and methodologies I found on the internet. It was a painfull process.
What I’m looking for is to validate and advance my knowledge by taking a course or trainning from the gurus; I don’t want one of those Microsoft curricullum courses.
Could you recommend where or who could satisfy my needs.

We’re starting work on a new WPF app. My co-worker had bookmarked some websites to training videos on Microsoft’s Visual Studio website. We were going to view them, but now all of her links are pointing to .NET 4.5, VS 2012, etc. Nothing there specific about WPF. Where are those Visual Studio WPF trainng videos? We are going to be using VS 2010, .NET 4.0.

No, Mike, that’s not what I’m talking about. They were more like what is available on windowsclient.net. I’ve just noticed that website has been taken down.😦

Hello- I am looking for a WPF developer and am having a hard time doing so with Google searches. Can somebody point me in the right direction? Is there a place to post gigs on this site? I need some internal business software for a quickly growing apparel company. Thanks! Owen

It’s a shame that this blog is dead. We need a good advanced WPF blog out there.
